After KL Rahul was dropped from IND vs AUS 3rd Test on March 1 (Wednesday), Twitter was on fire with the hashtag #Venkatesh Prasad. Earlier, the former India pacer had backed dropping KL Rahul from the series due to his poor batting show in the first two Tests, where he hit just 38 runs in 3 innings.

Moreover, a verbal banter between former Indian player Venkatesh Prasad and cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra took place on social media. While Prasad lambasted KL Rahul over his batting failures, Chopra criticized Prasad for using selected stats to bash Rahul. The banter emerged so big that Prasad shared a series of tweets on Twitter attacking Chopra.

After Indian skipper Rohit Sharma revealed that KL Rahul has been dropped from IND vs AUS 3rd Test and replaced by Shubman Gill, Twitterati shared hilarious memes using Venkatesh Prasad hashtag. #Venkatesh Prasad also became the top Twitter trend on Wednesday morning.

After Venkatesh Prasad bashed KL Rahul and supported opener Shubman Gill, Chopra attacked him for his words and said that he has an agenda toward Rahul. This angered former India seamer who went on to attack Chopra on Twitter with multiple tweets.

He also liked Chopra’s old video in which he praised actor Suniel Shetty, who happens to be KL Rahul’s father-in-law. Cricket fans closely watched this Prasad vs Chopra battle on social media. Some Twitter users also shared some old videos of Chopra to support Prasad in the matter.

Meanwhile, India won the toss and opted to bat first against Australia in the 3rd Test. The match is taking place at Holkar Cricket Stadium in Indore. Shubman Gill and Umesh Yadav have replaced KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami respectively in the match. India has already won the previous two Tests in the series and leads the series 2-0.
