Much-hyped India vs Australia Test Series is going to commence on 9th February (Thursday). Unlike the 2013 & 2017 Australian teams, this side has got a lot of match-winners present in the team. Australia will have to be spot on with their team selection, especially as to who would accompany Nathan Lyon as neither Ashton Agar nor Mitchell Swepson have played before in India.
India on the other hand would be delighted as the pair of Ashwin-Jadeja is back. The duo can also make handy contributions of 30-odd runs which can be game-changing. The Men in Blue has to be spot on with their game plan where the middle order looks a bit weak as the star batter Virat Kohli isn’t amongst the runs.

Ravi Shastri on Ian Healy’s Comments about the pitch
Ravi Shastri was having an interaction with Star Sports and took a dig at Ian Healy & Australia.
“What Ian Healy said that Australia will have the advantage… a lot of that is based on what Australia has done at home. They’re not playing at home. They’re playing in India. Why anyone would think that India doesn’t start with an advantage, I don’t know,” said Ravi Shastri.

“There’s a lot of crap spoken about pitches. I believe no one other than the curator should have a say on what wickets are produced. I don’t think it should be up to the players, the manager, the coach, or anybody! You just produce a good pitch. Surely a curator has been a player and wants to produce a good pitch. That should be the aim of all curators,” he added.
Ravi Shastri on Pitch
Ravi Shastri was asked what kind of pitch he would like to see in 1st Test Match at Nagpur.
“I want the ball to turn from Day 1! If you lose the toss, so be it. You want to see the ball turning a bit. Or something there for the bowlers on offer from Day 1. It’s your strength. You’re playing at home. Capitalise on it,” sad Ravi Shastri.
The hosts received a lot of flak in 2013 & 2017 for not keeping sporting wickets. As mentioned by Ravi Shastri, the home team must capitalize on the conditions. The visitors this time have got Usman Khawaja who could toil the opponent. The left-handed batter has rediscovered his mojo and has had a terrific last 12 months.
