The third and final ODI between India and Australia has seen the hosts take control of the fixture. As of writing, Australia are reeling at 208 runs on the board at the loss of seven wickets after losing wicketkeeper batter Alex Carey who was looking in good touch with the bat as he tried to get some runs on the board after the top order collapsed against the collective onslaught of Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav.
After losing the top order early Alex Carey stitched together an important partnership alongside Marcus Stoinis to help Australia get past 200 runs on the board which seems like a respectable total considering their outstanding bowling efforts so far this series. However, before the batter could do a lot more damage and get his side past 250 runs, Kuldeep Yadav struck dismissing the batter on a score of 38 off 46 deliveries.

After Alex Carey’s dismissal, Sean Abbott and Ashton Agar currently stand tall as they hope to get as many runs on the board before the innings come to an end.

Kuldeep bowled in a good leg cutter that was a tad good as the ball nipped in towards the stumps, Alex Carey tried to cut it away but was too late in his attempt as the ball nicked the stumps away leaving the batter stunned with Kuldeep having a smile on his face as he celebrated the wicket.
India have made a good grip over the contest as Australia seem to have struggled against the Indian bowlers in their innings. The visitors will hope that their bowlers can replicate their performance from the previous games and leave India in a bind. Mitchell Starc is likely to have a big role to play in the contest as the pacer has been the leading wicket-taker in the ODI series so far with 8 wickets to his name.
