The experienced Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin eventually made a breakthrough on the second day of the fourth test match between Australia and India by taking Cameron Green’s wicket. Green gloved it as it was tossed up to the on side. At the very end, KS Bharat made a fantastic catch and took care of the rest.

The fourth Test match between India and Australia is beginning yesterday at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Australia’s captain, Steve Smith, has won the toss and chosen to bat first. With one match left, India has a 2-1 advantage in the Test series.

On Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test, Ravichandran Ashwin got two wickets in the same over to give India a six-wicket advantage over Australia. Cameron Green and Usman Khawaja had a 206-run partnership until Ashwin dismissed the latter on 114. Alex Carey lost his wicket after four balls when he was caught by Ashwin’s delivery for a duck.
Earlier, Usman Khawaja, who blasted his 14th century on Day 1 and slammed his first Test ton, was accompanied by Green, who was batting on 49 at the stumps. Australia lost four wickets on Day 1 after choosing to bat first, but Khawaja, who reached his 14th Test century and first on Indian soil, kept the visitors going.

The veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finally succeeds in taking a wicket, dismissing the powerful Cameron Green for 114. Green played a brilliant knock in Ahmedabad, but he was eventually dismissed. When the ball reached the leg stump line, Green attempted to sweep it, but the ball brushed his gloves and fell into keeper Bharat’s hands, where it was securely caught. The important partnership has been broken, and Australia must now rebuild its innings.

Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets in the same over to put Australia six wickets down against India on Day 2 of the ongoing fourth Test.

Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and chose to bat first on a pitch that, like the others in this series, appears to be an excellent batting track. Australia will enter the competition unchanged and will try to put up a strong score. India, on the other hand, has recalled Mohammad Shami in place of Mohammed Siraj and will want to win the fourth Test in Ahmedabad at any cost in order to secure a place in the WTC finals.
