Things have not worked out well for Suryakumar Yadav in the ODI series against Australia. What could be called a couple of poor outings has now turned into a nightmare as the batter was dismissed for a third consecutive golden duck in the series as Ashton Agar cleaned up his stumps on the very first delivery.
Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for two golden ducks in the first two ODIs by Mitchell Starc is an action replay with the batter failing to read Starc’s inswinger at both times as the ball crashed onto his pads. However, the third dismissal is bound to put a lot of pressure on the batter as this time his stumps nipped open.

Things are even more unfortunate as Suryakumar Yadav became the first Indian batter to register three golden ducks in three consecutive innings after being sent back to the dugout by Ashton Agar. Suryakumar Yadav was demoted in the batting order for the third ODI in Chennai. After batting at number four for the first two matches, he walked out to the middle at number six for the series decider on Wednesday but once again failed to deliver with the bat.

Ashton Agar pitched in a tad shorter delivery that skidded in towards the stumps, Suryakumar Yadav tried to slash the ball away but was too late playing the shot as the ball easily beat his timing before crashing onto the stumps leaving the batter visibly distraught. Things have surely not worked out well for the batter and it will be interesting to see if receives another chance following his poor outings.
With Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja on the crease, India have their last batting pair as they look to chase down the 270 runs on the board. As of writing, India have managed 199 runs in 39 overs at the loss of 6 wickets and will hope that their two star all-rounders can finish the job for the side.
