After the match ended in a draw, Indian batting sensation Virat Kohli was spotted presenting his jersey to Australian players Usman Khawaja and Alex Carey. Virat Kohli was seen gifting his jersey to them just before the post-match presentation. It appeared that Kohli did not stop at Khawaja, as a few other Australian players were also seen receiving a jersey from him.

India batted for nearly two days to take a lead of 91 runs and may have been hopeful of securing a favourable result considering Australia’s recent struggles with collapsing. However, the pitch did not deteriorate significantly, and Australia managed to easily see out the last day to confirm the draw.

While the game may have ended in a draw, India have qualified for the finals of the World Test Championship with New Zealand defeating Sri Lanka by 2 wickets in the first Test.
