Adelaide Strikers and Melbourne Renegades are the top two teams with six points each. The Brisbane Heat failed to live up to the expectations last season and finished in the second-last position on the point table just above the Renegades, owing to a better net run rate.

Sydney Thunder finished third in BBL 2021 having nine wins under their belt and five defeats. Chris Green is leading the side this season.
