Laura Wolvaardt Leapfrogs Alyssa Healy To Become The No.1 ODI Batter

South Africa opener Laura Wolvaardt after her brilliant run in the ongoing ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 has leapfrogged the Australian Alyssa Healy to become the No. 1 batter in the ICC Women’s ODI Batting Rankings.

The Proteas opener Laura Wolvaardt is currently the leading run-getter in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 as she has scored 433 runs in the tournament, including five half-centuries in seven innings. Also, she missed out on her century in the match against undefeated Australia as she scored 90 runs in that match, which was held in Wellington last week. Now the South Africa opener has 740 rating points in her bag.

Also, Indian captain Mithali Raj’s fifty against South Africa, where India faced a heartbreaking defeat, has helped her become the No.6 batter in the rankings.

South African Shabnim Ismail has jumped to No.3 and India pacer Jhulan Goswami has jumped to No. 5. Meanwhile, in the ICC Women’s All-rounder Rankings, Ellyse Perry retained her top spot and Nat Sciver is at No.2. Pakistan all-rounder Nida Dar has moved up four places to 12th and Bangladesh’s Salma Khatun is has jumped to 19th.
