Ravindra Jadeja Reclaims No. 1 Spot In The ICC Test Rankings For All-Rounders

Star India National Cricket Team spin-bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the ICC Test Rankings for all-rounders.

The 33-year-old Indian all-rounder Jadeja was in sensational form in the recently concluded two-match Test series against the Dimuth Karunaratne-led Sri Lanka National Cricket Team.

In the first match of the series in Mohali, he smashed an unbeaten 175 before India decided to declare the innings. Also, with the ball in hand, he was outstanding as he registered the figures of 5/41 & 4/46.

In the second match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru the Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was not as effective as he was in the first game as he scored 4 & 22 and had bowling figures of 0/15 & 1/48. Also, India won both the games against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in a dominant style.

The 33-year-old Jadeja leapfrogged the star West Indies fast-bowling all-rounder Jason Holder to attain the No.1 spot in the ICC Test Rankings for all-rounders.

Notably, Holder is currently participating in the three-match Test series against England and so far he has been ordinary in the two games. In the first game, he scored 45 & 37* and bagged a total of 3 wickets. In the second game, he was able to score only 12 runs and take one wicket.

Now, Ravindra Jadeja has 385 rating points and Jason Holder has slipped to the second spot after his ordinary run and he has 357 rating points in his bag.

Meanwhile, the ICC Men’s Test Batting and Bowling Rankings have not witnessed any massive changes and the only notable change in the top 10 is Neil Wagner overtaking James Anderson to achieve the No.8 spot in the bowling rankings.
