The first NZ vs SL ODI will be played on March 25 in Auckland. The match starts at 6.30 am ISt which is 2 pm local time. Qualification points are up for grabs for Sri Lanka who are languishing in the tenth position in the ICC Super League points table.
Tom Latham in the absence of Kane Williamson and Tim Southee will lead the side. Pacer Lockie Ferguson has been ruled out of the first ODI with a hamstring injury. The final team will be between Sri Lanka, South Africa, and West Indies who will earn a direct qualification. The Islanders need to win the series for direct qualification.
