Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe in the second ODI in Harare looking to level the three-match series after the first ODI loss. Bangladesh scored over 300 runs in the first ODI but their bowlers could not prevent the total. The second ODI thus is a must-win for the side if they are to keep the series alive.
Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal in the post-match presentation said that he felt that they were 15-20 runs short after their batting effort.
“I didn’t think we had enough. We could have pushed a little more, we were 15-20 runs short. We knew we had to bat like a Test match in the first 10-15 overs. We have been dropping catches regularly and someday it will cost us, that was today” said a dejected Tamim.
Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza who was the Man of the Match after his brilliant ton said that the side is moving towards the right direction with its mix of young and experienced players.
“I thought Innocent was brilliant out there, when we get a partnership like that it always helps. I think all the senior players are trying to be an example for the youngsters and building a culture. I thought we were behind the game at one point, but I told Innocent if we stay till the end then we will win the game” said Raza.
