The England tour of South Africa 2023 consists of three ODIs. The matches will be played on January 27, 29 and February 1. The fixtures will make up the series taking place in Bloemfontein at the Mangaung Oval and in Kimberley at The Kimberley Oval.

Meanwhile, Archer’s selection in the squad was his first England call since March 2021. He is recovering very well and it’s not long until he bowls once again in international cricket, which is expected to be on the South Africa tour.

On January 1, 2023, Jofra Archer took to Twitter to state that he is fully ready to return to competitive cricket this year.

He posted a few pictures of him on Twitter showcasing how he battled injuries to make a comeback to the cricket field last year, during a warm-up match between England and England A in November ahead of the Test series against Pakistan.

“2022 thank you 2023 I’m ready,” tweeted the premier England National Cricket Team right-arm quick Jofra Archer on Sunday, January 1, 2023.

The 27-year-old pacer Archer, who was the highest wicket-taker for England in their 2019 World Cup triumph, last played ODI cricket in 2020 while Test and T20I cricket in 2021.

Also, his return to competitive cricket is a big relief for his franchises MI Cape Town (SA20) and Mumbai Indians (Indian Premier League).
