3 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Players That Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Can Target In IPL 2023

Royal Challengers Bangalore finished fourth in IPL 2022 as their dreams of winning an IPL title were diminished. The side lost in the second qualifier against Rajasthan Royals to bow out of the tournament. Ultimately they ended with six losses this year.
It was a season of what-ifs again for RCB as they promised more than delivered. This year too they had a good side with almost all the bases covered. They had a good bowling attack, good spinners and good finishers in Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell.
Virat Kohli had another different year as he opened for a few games and batted at number three in a few. One area of concern for the team was fining opener who would allow Virat Kohli to bat at three and dictate the game. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored over 400 runs but to no avail as the side failed to reach the finals once again.
IPL 2023 will be played between April-May next year. Ahead of that the mini-auction will allow teams to release their reserve players and look for quality players to plug the loopholes. With the first article, we start a series of articles looking at three players from each team RCB pick in their team and get it stronger ahead of the next season. We first pick three CSK players RCB would target.
3 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Players That Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Can Target In IPL 2023
Devon Conway / Robin Uthappa
Either Conway or Uthappa can be that established opener for Royal Challengers Bangalore and can reduce the pressure from Faf du Plessis’s shoulders. Uthappa has previously played for RCB. Incidentally, he also scored his career-best IPL score against RCB in the IPL. Both Conway and Uthappa can keep and thus they will be back up keepers for Dinesh Karthik if required.
Mitchell Santner
Santner can be another good option for RCB. The management can rotate the players alongside him depending upon the conditions. He is a handy off-spinner and can pair up well with Wanindu Hsaranga. The management can choose between Him, Hasaranga and Josh Hazlewood depending upon the conditions and the opposition.
Mukesh Choudhary
Choudhary ended with 16 wickets in his first IPL season and showed controlled pace and swing. With RCB missing a quality left-arm Indian bowler, he can fill up that space after his recent exploits in the IPL. MS Dhoni used his potential very well this season.
