MS Dhoni is the most successful Indian captain in the history of the game. The 41-year-old has won three major titles – 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup, and 2013 Champions Trophy as well as a hoard of bilateral trophies. Although MS Dhoni hasn’t managed a team yet, his decision-making in the game and success point toward Indian team coaching in the future.
MS Dhoni is expected to retire after the IPL 2023, and take on a mentorship role with a specialized set of players. It is too taxing a task for Rahul Dravid to manage the three format teams all at once.
