Gujarat Titans beat Kolkata Knight Riders in the only game that they played against each other in IPL 2022. As it turned out, Gujarat went on to win their maiden IPL title in their very first season, KKR, meanwhile, finished seventh on the points table under Shreyas Iyer.

KKR’s slump in 2022 after reaching the finals in IPL 2021 came as a surprise to many. They had the side to go all the way but they never found the combination amongst their players. The veteran Bengal wicketkeeper can come back to KKR if the franchise is interested in roping him in. Saha batted with intent inside the powerplay for Gujarat and scored over 300 runs in the season. He can be similarly useful as an opener for KKR and also solve their search for an Indian keeper-batsman.

David Miller

It is highly unexpected that Miller will be released by Gujarat Titans after his best IPL season. However, if that is the case, KKR should consider buying the South African middle-order batsman. He is a proven T20 performer and can take the pressure off someone like Andre Russell in the lower middle order. He is a fabulous fielder to boost as well.

Sai Kishore / Jayant Yadav

KKR are on the lookout for an Indian spinner. Both Sai Kishore and Jayant Yadav fit the ball. Both are good bowlers and can compliment Sunil Narine from the other end. Varun Chakravarthy’s fitness and form are a matter of concern and the Indian spinner might well be released ahead of the next season.
