Lucknow Super Giants lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore in the only match they played against each other in IPL 2022 in the league stage. However, as it turned out, LSG lost the Eliminator against RCB and had to bow out of the tournament.
RCB, on the other hand, flattered to deceive once again despite reaching the playoffs, for the second year straight. They lost to Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier to bring an end to yet another disappointing campaign.
The franchise is now looking forward to IPL 2022 and looking for players best suited to their team combination. The mini-auction head of IPL 203 will see franchises release their reserve players and look for new ones. RCB might target a few LSG players after some of them had a really good IPL season.

Quinton de Kock

De Kock finished as the third-highest run-getter in IPL 2022 with 508 runs from 15 games. The South African keeper-batsman played for RCB in 2018. However, it is since being released by RCN that de Kock has been consistently scoring in the IPL. Since 22019, he has scored nearly 1500 runs in the tournament besides being a regular keeper for Mumbai Indians first and then LSG. The management might target de Kock ahead in the mini-auction to bring an end to their top-order woes.

Deepak Hooda

RCB ideally needs an Indian middle-order batsman to support Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik. Deepak Hooda can be that guy who can bridge the gap in the middle order. RCB played with Suyash Prabhudesai and Mahipal Lomror in IPL 2022 but Hooda provides them with a better option. He can also bowl useful off-spinners if needed.
Jason Holder / Dushamtha Chameera

Either of these players can be a great addition to the side depending upon what the franchise prefers. Chameera made his debut in the IPL for RCB in 2021 but was not given too many games. Holder, on the other hand, gives them a seam bowling all-round option for the long run. The franchise will have some tough choices to make come to the IPL 2023 mini-auction.
