Mumbai and Chennai are two of the most successful IPL teams with the most decorated captains. Rohit Sharma leads Mumbai while MS Dhoni leads the CSK. Both repetitively spoke about the things that went wrong this season and the things they need to work on ahead of next season.

Ahead of IPL 2023, teams will get a slight window where they will release a few players in order to buy some new players both Indian and overseas in order to get their team stronger. CSK has a chance to pick some of Mumbai’s best players heading into the next season.

Tim David played just two games at the start of the season. He replaced Kieron Pollard in the playing XI and proved his power-hitting abilities. David was roped in for 8.25 crores and if CSK manages to buy him, he will be a great asset for the team. He ended with 16 sixes in the season.

Ishan Kishan

Kishan will be another good addition to the side if Chennai Super Kings are able to buy him. He was the most expensive payer of IPL 2022. Mumbai bought him at 15.25 crores and the southpaw scored over 400 runs for them. Kishan can replace someone like Robin Uthappa at the top and form a formidable opening partnership with Ruturaj Gaikwad. This Indian duo can take the team to newer heights in the future.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah was one of the four retained players for Mumba Indians. He did not have a great start to IPL 2022 but ended the season with 15 wickets. He is one of the most potent T20 bowlers at the moment and if CSK can but him somehow, it can certainly bolster their pace attack. Bumrah along with Deepak Chahar will be a very good bowling pair that CSK can nurture in the future. Mumbai Indians releasing Bumrah is a very far-fetched thought, but if this happens somehow, CSK has a big chance at roping him in.
