3 Players Rajasthan Royals (RR0 Can Retain In The IPL 2022 Mega Auction. Rajasthan Royals, yet again, exhibited a disappointing performance in IPL 2021, finishing seventh on the points table with 5 wins in 14 matches. Injuries to the prominent players didn’t help their cause as Jofra Archer and Ben Stokes’ unavailability made things hard for them.

They lacked a wicket-taker in the bowling department and a solid all-rounder to give a balance to their team. Out of seven games, they managed to win three during the India leg of the tournament.

Their performances in the second leg of the tournament weren’t too great either.  Jos Buttler made himself unavailable due to personal reasons. Glenn Phillips and Evin Lewis’ inclusion and the return of Liam Livingstone, however, was a big boost for them. However, all three were exhibiting inconsistent performances.

Given how he played this year, Sanju Samson is likely to lead the franchise next year. He should be the first player to be retained by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2022 mega auctions. Unlike the last couple of years, Sanju Samson was consistent in his performances.

It was, in fact, the best season with the bat of his IPL career. Samson scored 484 runs in 14 matches at an average of 40.33 and a strike rate of 136.72. He scored one century and 2 half-centuries this season.

Jos Buttler

Jos Buttler would be the foremost choice as the overseas contender to be retained by the franchise. Touted as one of the most dangerous batsmen in T20 cricket, Jos Buttler is likely to open the batting for Royals next year.

Due to the impending birth of his child, he made himself unavailable for the second leg of IPL 2021. He played seven matches for Rajasthan Royals during the India leg of the tournament, scoring 254 runs at an average of 36.28.

Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal is looked like one of the rising stars in Indian cricket. After Sanju Samson, the young 19-year is the one that Rajasthan Royals would look to invest in. He showed glimpses of his brilliance during the second leg of the tournament. Jaiswal batted fearlessly and gave the side solid starts at the top of the order.

Overall, he played 10 matches and scored 249 runs at an average of 24.90. Chances are high that Rajasthan Royal would open make Yashavi Jaiswal along with Jos Buttler next year.
