Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings had polar opposite campaigns in IPL 2022. The Royals made the finals for the first time in 14 years while CSK after a title-winning campaign in 2021 finished ninth on the points table in 2022.

The Royals also beat CSK in the only game they played against each other this season. The IPL 2023 season will be held in April-May next year. Ahead of the season, the different teams will have an opportunity to seek players from other teams in a small auction window.

He can bat anywhere in the top 4 and can be flexible with his approach which is his great ability as a cricketer.

Shimron Hetmyer

The West Indian left-handed batsman scored 314 runs from 15 games marking his best year in the IPL. He also hit 21 sixes in the season. Hetymyer can well be a game-changer in this transitional CSK side who are looking for a revamp ahead of the next season.

Ravichandran Ashwin

If possible, Chennai Super Kings should go all-out for rebuying Ashwin pretty much for the last leg of his IPL career. He started with CSK in 2009 and took no wickets for the franchise before parting ways with the side. Over time, he has played for various franchises and made a healthy contribution to all the teams. Ashwin returning to CSK would be a perfect homecoming story.
