Mansoon Ali Khan Pataudi captained India from the period of 1962 to 1975 and he had some decent numbers as a batsman in his international career as well. He was popularly called the “tiger” for his brave approach and he went on to lead the country in 40 tests.

Pataudi in his captainship went on to be dismissed for a duck on 7 occasions in 73 innings which is the third most number for an Indian captain in Test Cricket. In Pataudi’s leadership, India won 9 tests, lost 19 tests and 12 tests were drawn.
