Suryakumar Yadav was very impressive in the few opportunities he got in the T20 series against England and his calmness and composure in the crease certainly has been a hallmark of his game. He has been scoring consistently for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL in some tough turning wickets and has got immense experience in domestic cricket.
Yadav has got the attacking game to take on any bowling attack in the world and his unorthodox shots over the wicketkeeper’s head are something that can be very hard for any captain to set a field. He keeps finding the gaps and he will be playing a huge role in the Indian middle-order with his ability to play spin. If he can contribute in the series against Sri Lanka, he will certainly make the T20 Worldcup squad.
