Meanwhile, Roman Walker dismissed Kohli LBW in the 41st over of the innings with a full-length delivery that swung away from the former India captain. Kohli was disappointed after getting out and he was not pleased with the on-field umpire’s decision.

Kohli managed to score 33 runs off 69 balls, including 4 fours and 1 six, for the Indians in the first innings.

While talking about picking Kohli’s wicket, Roman said it was a special moment for him.

“It was nice. You want to play against India when they come along. Surprised to take 5. It (Virat Kohli’s wicket) was a nice moment for me. A couple of my mates texted me saying there’s one for the grandkids,” Walker told Foxes TV.

Walker, who took a 5-wicket haul in the first innings of the warm-up match, said that the Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna have been good with everybody.

“Yeah, they are great blokes. I mean, they talked to me almost every ball whenever there was room for a bit of advice. They have been really good with everybody, to be fair,” he said, speaking of Bumrah and Prasidh

Walker also talked about young India wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, with whom he added 70 runs in their first innings of the match. Walker said that he enjoyed batting alongside Pant and he has been great with the Leicestershire players.

“It was great, he (Pant) has been great with our boys. He is great fun to bat with. He smiles whenever he plays a rogue shot. If he gets away with it, he laughs, if he doesn’t, he laughs. It’s a great thing to learn from the other end. Just talking to him about options, how to play different bowlers, very valuable,” Walker said.
