AUS vs ENG: Australia’s Predicted Playing XI Against England 3rd ODI, England Tour Of Australia 2022. Australia takes on England in the third and final ODI in Melbourne on November 22. Australia won the first ODI by six wickets and the second by 72 runs. This is a must-win game for England if they are to avoid a whitewash.

Meanwhile, the Aussies will look for a clean sweep. They have made a good comeback after failing to defend the T20 World Cup title.

As far as head to heads is concerned, Australia and England have played 154 ODIs to date with the Aussies winning 86 and England winning 63 games. As far as Australia-England MCG ODIs are concerned, the Aussies have won 16 of the 23 ODIs played while England won seven.

After an 86 in the first ODI, Warner missed out in the second scoring just 16 off 17 balls. The southpaw would look to finish on a high. He has scored 102 runs in this series so far with an average of 51.00.

Head after scoring 69 in the first ODI scored 19 in the second. He will open the batting with David Warner as the Aussies are looking to rejig their opening combination.

Steve Smith has transformed his game in this series. He has scored 174 runs in this series so far at a strike rate of 90.62. Smith fell six short of his century in the third ODI. 

Marnus Labuschagne

 Labuschagne made his presence felt in the second ODI with a breezy 58 off 55 balls. He started as a test specialist but is now developing his ODI game as well. He has just played 26 ODIs for Australia.

Inglish might come in place of Carey in the final ODI. He missed the T20 World Cup with an injury and is now fit to return to the side. He can slot in at four and plays unorthodox shots. 

Marcus Stoinis

Stoinis slots in at six. So far in the series, he has not had an impact. He scored 13 off 14 balls in the second ODI and went for 29 off his five overs. 

Mitchell Marsh

Marsh scored 50 off 59 balls in the second ODI and took full opportunity of the chance given to him. He slots in at seven in this game. 

Ashton Agar

agar slots in an eight. In the previous game, he scored 18 off 12 balls to give Australia the finishing kick to their innings. With the ball, he bowled seven overs for 41 runs.

Pat Cummins

Cummins can replace Josh Hazlewood in this game. He led Australia in the second ODI and took 2 for 33 with the ball. He has taken 11 wickets in five ODIs in 2022 so far. 

Mitchel Starc

Starc picked up 4 for 47 in the second T20I. He has picked up five wickets in this series so far at an average of 18.40. He has taken 16 wickets in 8 matches so far this year averaging 18.19

Zampa concludes the probable Xi for Australia’s second ODI against England. He took four wickets in the last game. He is the top wicket taken in the series so far with 17 wickets. In 2022, he has taken 26 wickets in 11 games.
