The AUS vs SA Test series continues with the third and final Test in Sydney from January 4. Australia have won the series by winning the first two Test matches. They are also topping the WTC points table. South Africa after their back to back losses have dropped to the fifth position.
Australia won the first Test by six wickets. They won the second by an innings and an innings and 182 runs. The second Test victory was shaped up by David Warner who scored a double ton in his 100th Test. The Aussies piled up 575/8 before declaring their innings. South Africa were bowled out for 189 in their first innings and 204 in their second. Warner is the leading run-scorer with 203 runs in 2 Test matches.

Throughout the first two Tests, the Proteas batters failed to cope up with the pace from the Australian bowlers. Dean Elgar‘s form is the biggest cause of concern for the Proteas. He has averaged 7.75 in the first two Test scoring only 31 runs in four innings.
South Africa have now lost four back to back Test matches. They lost two against England in September last year and two against Australia. The Proteas last won a Test match in August beating England at Lord’s. in the first of the three-match series.

Meanwhile, Australia have added Ashton Agar and Matt Renshaw to their squad for the final Test in Sydney. Mitchell Starc and Cameron Green have been ruled out with finger injuries.
