Australia and West Indies go head to head in the second and final Test match in Adelaide between December 8-12. This is a day-night Test match. The Aussies won the first Test by 164 runs. The hosts won the T20Is series 2-0 and also the first Test. The Windies are yet to win their first game on this trip. They must win the second Test to level the series. The Test series is a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship.

Australia will be led by Steve Smith in the absence of Pat Cummins who is ruled out with a quad injury. West Indies will be led by Kraigg Brathwaite. Both the captains scored runs in the first Test. Smith scored 200 * and 20 and is yet to be dismissed in the series. While Australia will aim to win the Test series, West Indies will aim to make a comeback in the series and level it 1-1.

Australia vs West Indies 2nd Test 2022

Australia and West Indies have played 91 Test matches so far with the Aussies winning 58 Test matches and the Windies winning 32. One Test match ended in a draw. Both teams played their last Test in January 2016 before this Test series started. The Aussies won a T20I series 2-0 before the T20 World Cup. West Indies did not make the Super 12 stage of the ICC event while Australia failed to defend the title making a league stage exit.
