England toured South Africa last month to face a defeat in an ODI series 2-1. Bangladesh, on the other hand, last played an ODI series against India which they won 2-1. India came back to win the Test series 2-0 in December 2022.
England have played 21 ODIs against Bangladesh winning 17 matches and losing just four games. Bangladesh have the distinction of knocking England out from the 2015 ODI World Cup when they beat them in the league stage.

England skipper Jos Buttler is looking forward to this Bangladesh series as a preparatory ground for the ODI World Cup later this year in India. Spinners are expected to have a bigger say in this ODI and T20I series.
Both teams have good quality spinners with Shakib and Mehidy Hasan pairing up for Bangladesh while Moeen Ali and Adi Rashid will pair up for England.
Dhaka will host the first ODI in March 1 followed by the second ODI on March 3 also in Dhaka. Chattogram will host the third ODI on March 6. The three T2I0s will be played on March 9, 12 and 14.
