The second BAN vs IRE ODI will be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on March 20. The match starts from 1.30 pm IST which is 2 pm local time. The Tigers have already won the first ODI and will be looking to complete another series win by winning the second ODI.
Tamim Iqbal will lead Bangladesh while Andrew Balbirnie will lead Ireland. This ODI series is not a part of the ICC ODI Super League with the Irish struggling for World Cup qualification. The home side won the first ODI by 183 runs after posting 338 batting first and bowling out the opposition for just 155.

The Irish team are on the road at the moment starting with this ODI series which will culminate with a one-off Test match against England at Lord’s from June 1-4. In case they fail to qualify directly for the World Cup, Ireland will need to play the qualifiers in Zimbabwe between 18 June to 9 July. Bangladesh have already qualified for the ODI World Cup later this year in India.
The three ODIs are set to be played on March 18, 20, and 23 in Sylhet, The T20Is are scheduled to take place on March 26, 28, and 30 in Chattogram. The one-off BAN vs IRE Test will be played in Dhaka from April 4-8.

Bangladesh recently won a T20I series against England 3-0 earlier this year in March. The England batters were tested by spin and Bangladesh are planning to do the same to the Irish batters. Both teams have played 11 ODIs so far with the Tigers winning 8 games while Ireland just three. Both teams have played five T20Is till date with the hosts winning three and the visitors just one game.
