The BAN vs IRE third and final ODI will be played in Sylhet on March 23, Thursday. The second ODI ended in a no-result as rain played spoilsport in the second innings. Bangladesh won the first ODI by 183 runs and now have a chance to win the series 2-0. Ireland also has a chance to level the series 1-1.
Tamim Iqbal will lead Bangladesh while Andrew Balbirnie will lead Ireland. This ODI series is not a part of the ICC ODI Super League with the Irish struggling for World Cup qualification. The home side won the first ODI by 183 runs after posting 338 batting first and bowling out the opposition for just 155.

Ireland are placed 11th in the ICC Super League points table and will need to play the World Cup qualifiers. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have managed to qualify for the 50-over mega event in India. The three ODIs are set to be played on March 18, 20, and 23 in Sylhet, The T20Is are scheduled to take place on March 26, 28, and 30 in Chattogram. The one-off BAN vs IRE Test will be played in Dhaka from April 4-8.
Bangladesh recently won a T20I series against England 3-0 earlier this year in March. The England batters were tested by spin and Bangladesh are planning to do the same to the Irish batters. Both teams have played 12 ODIs so far with the Tigers winning 8 games while Ireland just three. Both teams have played five T20Is till date with the hosts winning three and the visitors just one game.
