India and SunRisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper, Wriddhiman Saha, took to Twitter on Friday to give an update on his health.

Wriddhiman Saha was one of the many cricketers who tested positive for Covid-19, forcing the BCCI to suspend the 14th season of the IPL for an indefinite period of time.

Taking to Twitter on Friday, Wriddhiman Saha stated that his quarantine period is still not over as one of his RT-PCR tests has come out to be positive.

Saha further requested everyone to stop spreading misinformation regarding his health.

“My quarantine period is still not over. As a part of the routine check up, 2 tests were done, out of which 1 was negative and the other one came as positive. Otherwise, I am doing much better. Requesting everyone not to spread misleading stories/information without the whole context,” Saha said in his statement.

Wriddhiman Saha was recently selected in Team India’s squad for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final and the succeeding five-match Test series against England.

But he is running against time to be eligible to join the team for England tour as the BCCI has made it clear that no cricketer will be allowed to travel with the team if he returned positive for Covid when the entire squad congregates in Mumbai.
