Cricketing Fraternity Hails PV Sindhu As The Indian Badminton Star Wins Bronze At Tokyo 2020 Olympics
Updated - 01 Aug 2021, 08:38 PM
Champion Indian shutter PV Sindhu may have lost her semi-final bout yesterday but she has come back brilliantly to win the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
The legendary badminton player created history by becoming only the second Indian athlete after Mirabai Chanu [third confirmed] to win an Olympic medal in the ongoing edition.
Sindhu, who lost her semi-final bout to World No.1 Tai Tzu Ying on Saturday, was back at her dominating best on Sunday evening as she beat He Bing Jiao in 53 minutes of play by 21-13 and 21-15.
This is PV Sindhu’s second Olympic medal, having won a silver at Ri0 2016.
And, by doubt that, she has become the first Indian athlete to win two Olympic Medals.
Naturally, from the President to Prime Minister and public figures from all over the country are taking to Twitter to congratulate the legendary Sindhu on her stellar achievement.
Here is how the cricketing fraternity is wishing PV Sindhu-
She never comes back without raising the tricolour! Kudos @Pvsindhu1 ??#PVSindhu pic.twitter.com/evD7CneWfJ
