The Virat Kohli-James Anderson rivalry is one of the biggest rivalries in Test cricket. Anderson is the most successful England pacer and Kohli being the most successful Indian batter. Before the series started many experts predicted that Indian skippers might dominate the English pacer however completely opposite happened this time.

James Anderson had to wait for 7 years to finally pick the wicket of Indian captain Kohli. Meanwhile, so far in 3 games of the 5-match Test series between England and India, Anderson has already dismissed Kohli twice. He dismissed the Indian captain in a first-ball duck in the first match of the series. Meanwhile, in the Headingley, Leeds Test Kohli was dismissed at the score of 7 by James Anderson.

James Anderson has dominated Virat Kohli and will be looking forward to continuing these dominant runs in the last two games of the series. Notably, the animated celebration of James Anderson became the hot topic of discussion after he dismissed Kohli in the Leeds Test. Writing in his column for The Telegraph, 39-year-old has revealed the reason behind his celebration. He wrote:

 “When I got Kohli out in the first innings in Leeds there was a lot of emotion. It was the same as at Trent Bridge. I guess there is that extra something with him because he is such a good player and their captain as well. You see how much it means to him when his team takes a wicket so I want to show him what it means to us to get him out,”

Currently, the marquee 5-match series is leveled at 1-1. Meanwhile, India and England will be heading into the 4th Test of the series which will begin on September 2 at Kennington Oval, London.
