On Friday, July 15, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the squads for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) and T20 International (T20I) series against the South Africa National Cricket Team.

England and South Africa are set to play a three-match ODI series, which will be played from July 19 to July 24. Also, they will play a three-match T20I series, which will be played from July 27 to July 31.

Young Durham right-arm pacer Matthew Potts, who has performed brilliantly for England in the 4 Test games he has played so far, has received his maiden ODI call-up.

The 34-year-old Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid, who missed the T20I series against India and is not part of the ongoing ODI series against Rohit Sharma and Co., has made a comeback to both ODI and T20I squads for the South Africa series.

Also, Yorkshire wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow, who was rested for the series against India, has made a comeback to the England squad.

Meanwhile, the England National Cricket Team Test captain Ben Stokes has been rested for the T20I series against South Africa to manage the workload and fitness. Also, he will not feature in the upcoming The Hundred competition.
