Women’s Big Bash League commenced on 13th October. This tournament is considered to be one of the biggest in Women’s Cricket. England Women’s Cricket Team batter Bess Heath has been roped in as an International replacement for Jemimah Rodrigues as she is unavailable for the weekend games.

Bess Heath has not featured in WBBL  She had scored 78 runs in 6 matches of the Women Hundred 2022. The batter looks like an exciting prospect. It would be interesting to see whether she gets a direct entry into the playing 11 or not.

Indian Women’s Team has looked in great touch. The team is all set to lock horns against Sri Lanka which promises to be an exciting contest. With the way, India is playing it seems that they are going to have an upper hand leading into the final. The team is forming crucial partnerships and not panicking which is the main reason behind their success.

Sri Lanka on the other hand are coming back with 1 run victory against Pakistan.  They would be pumped up and they would be feeling that they can spoil the party of a billion people. The key for Sri Lanka is to take early wickets. It would be interesting to see whether Sri Lankan Women win Asia Cup just like the Men’s Team did in September 2022.
