'Feels Surreal When You Get To Play For Your Country'- Prasidh Krishna Reacts After Being Picked In The Indian ODI Sqaud

Indian pacer Prasidh Krishna has reacted after being picked in the Indian ODI squad for the England series. Notably, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Friday, announced the 18-member squad of the Indian contingent that will face England in the three-match ODI series which is slated to take place from March 23-March 28.

The most notable inclusions in the squad were Prasidh Krishna, Suryakumar Yadav, and Krunal Pandya, who have all made it in the Indian ODI contingent for the first time. All three players had a fantastic run in the recently completed Vijay Hazare Trophy and now they are all set to represent the Indian team.

Prasidh Krishna Reacts After Being Picked In The Indian ODI Squad

Prasidh Krishna was Karnataka’s leading wicket-taker in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. The young Indian pacer picked 14 wickets in 7 matches at an average of 22.21 while bowling with an economy rate of 5.44. He also had a four-wicket haul to his name in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021.

The young Indian bowler has now finally reacted after being picked on the Indian side. He took to Twitter and wrote, “Feels surreal when you get the call to play for your country It’s like a dream come true. Excited to play my part and contribute to the success of the team. Thanks, @BCCI. Can’t wait to get started.”

Team India To Take On The English Challenge From March 23

The Indian Cricket Team is all set to take on England in a three-match ODI series which is all set to begin from March 23. All the three ODIs will take place in Pune behind closed doors. The BCCI announced the Indian contingent on Friday to face the Englishmen in the ODI series. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja have not been included in the side too.

Prithvi Shaw and Devdutt Padikkal have also not been able to make it into the Indian squad after having one of the greatest domestic runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021. Jasprit Bumrah is also unavailable for the ODI series and now it is clear that he will be seen playing in the IPL only. Mohammed Siraj has found his way back in the Indian ODI setup for the three games slated to take place against England.
