Google Shows India Head Coach Ravi Shastri's Age 119 Years

A strange thing is happening on Google regarding the age of India’s head coach Ravi Shastri. According to the search engine, Ravi Shastri’s age is 119-years old. As soon as ‘Ravi Shastri’s age’ is being typed in the search bar, it is showing 119 years. The source of the news seems to be the Wikipedia page of the former India allrounder.

According to the Wikipedia page, Ravi Shastri’s date of birth is 27th May 1901. Interestingly, all the other details including his wedding date given on the page are correct. As far as Ravi Shastri’s correct age is concerned, he was born on 27th May 1962 and is 58 years old.

Ravi Shastri, nonetheless, has received praise from all over in the last few days after India’s stunning triumph in Australia. Despite missing their captain Virat Kohli and some key players due to injuries, India came from behind to beat Australia by 2-1 in the four-match series. India had their back against the wall after losing the first Test by eight wickets.

But from thereon, they showed remarkable fight and stunned the Aussies to retain the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The series helped India move to the top of the ICC World Test Championship for the first time since the percentage system was introduced. India’s next assignment is against England. India will welcome England next month for four Tests, five T20Is and three T20Is.

The four-match Test series will start on February 5 in Chennai. The series will be the first one in India since the pandemic halted action around the world in March last year. The series will be also the last one in the ICC WTC for both the teams. A series win by at least two Tests will be enough for Team India to book their place in the final of the inaugural ICC WTC.
