ICC World Test Championship 2021–23: Updated Points Table After 4th Test Between England and India

For the first time since 1986, India have managed to win more than a single Test on a tour to England as Virat Kohli‘s team take a 2-1 lead in the series with one remaining game in Manchester to be played.

India bagged all 10 English wickets in the second innings on Day 5, Monday. Chasing 368, England started the day with perhaps victory in mind at 77/0; the opener partnership grew to 100 runs before Shardul Thakur made the first breakthrough removing Rory Burns after the left-hander notched up his fifty. Dawid Malan ran himself out ahead of Lunch and India could sense the panic station blowing off in the hosts camp.

The second session blew off England and an Indian victory was certain by the end of it. India went on to take 6 wickets in the second session.

Thakur would return for only his second spell after the 80th over getting the prized scalp of Joe Root before Umesh Yadav dismissed Chris Woakes at the stroke of Tea.
