The former cricketer-turned-commentator Mike Haysman was impressed with Fawad Alam’s century against West Indies and lauded the Pakistan middle-order batsman with a tweet on Twitter. Fawal Alam has been hitting the headlines for the last two years after having made a comeback into Tests after a decade and has shown his class.

The left-hander has already scored five centuries including the latest one coming against the West Indies and he broke the record held by Cheteshwar Pujara for the fastest Asian batsman to score five centuries in Tests. Fawad Alam remained unbeaten on 124 in the first innings for the Pakistan side when Babar Azam decided to declare the innings.

Fawad Alam Is A Prime Example Of Playing The Game Instinctively – Mike Haysman

Mike Haysman was mightily impressed with Fawad Alam’s century knock and he tweeted wondering how much impact could have Fawad Alam done if he hadn’t missed ten years of cricket.

He claimed that Fawad Alam is an extraordinary player and referred to him as the example for playing the game on instincts rather than pre-minded shots. He added that Fawad Alam has certainly changed his unorthodox technique into his strengths.

“What would he have achieved if it wasn’t for his forgotten decade? Fawad Alam is an extraordinary player and a prime example of playing the game instinctively. If your technique is different but sound, turn it into an advantage,” Mike Haysman tweeted on Twitter.

Pakistan On The Driver’s Seat In The Rain Hit Jamaica Test

Pakistan managed to score 302 for the loss of 9 wickets in their first innings with the help of Fawad Alam and Babar Azam’s contributions and declared the innings after 110 overs. The second day hardly saw any play as the rain took over the Jamaica grounds and West Indies have already lost three wickets in their first innings for just 39 runs on board at the end of day 3.
