Indian Cricket Team would be keen to continue the winning run against Australia. The Men in Blue have won the last 3 Test series. Skipper Pat Cummins will have a tough task on his hands as the speedster Josh Hazlewood has been ruled out of the opening Test Match.

It won’t be wrong to say that Australia’s bowling attack now looks fragile as there would be a huge amount of responsibility on Pat Cummins to bowl long spells as Hazlewood used to do that and was spot on with his line and length.

Cheteshwar Pujara on Australian Bowling Attack

Cheteshwar Pujara was having an interaction with the Times of India and was asked about Cummins & Lyon.

“Look, they have experience. They understand their strengths really well. Especially when we play them in Australia, they utilize the conditions well. They know which areas to bowl in, in those conditions. So I think the main battle against them is always in Australia,” said Cheteshwar Pujara.

“Not to forget that they are great bowlers and they have done well even in India, but my important battles against them have been in Australia. That’s something you need to do a lot of preparation for, as a batsman, you need to figure out your ways to counter them. As a batsman, you always that enjoy that challenge,” he added.

Riveting Series on Cards

For India, it’s not only about the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) but they have to win the Series by 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23).

Meanwhile, skipper Rohit Sharma will have to be bang on target with their selection in a crunch series.

Australia would be banking on Usman Khawaja who has had a prolific last 12 months. The left-handed batter will have to hold one end and most importantly make sure that there is no pressure on the destructive batter David Warner.
