The Aussies would be hoping that Mitchell Starc is back to his best as a finger injury had ruled him out of the 1st Test match.

Scott Boland on Mitchell Starc

Scott Boland was having an interaction with the media and was asked whether Mitchell Starc will play in the 2nd Test Match.

“We don’t know. I’m not sure. I haven’t seen Starcy bowl. I’m not sure if he’s going to be right to play. I assume he is if he’s over here. I don’t think we’re going to play three fast bowlers. There’s only going to be two spots up for grabs, I reckon,” said Scott Boland.

Concerns for Australia

This would be the 3rd Test tour of India for Mitchell Starc. Starc is someone who could not only provide breakthroughs with the new ball but can fox the batters with reverse swing. Not many know that Mitchell Starc’s highest score of 99 runs came against India way back in the 2013 Test Series.

Vice-captain KL Rahul needs some runs under his belt as now questions have started to raise over his place in the team. KL Rahul looks in two minds whether to attack or defend. The batter has got a decent record against Australia as in 2017, he was the one who stood tall and played effective knocks for the team. It looks unlikely that Suryakumar Yadav would be dropped after a solitary game.
