Indian Cricket Team had a brilliant Day 3. Earlier, they bundled out Bangladesh for 150. The skipper KL Rahul decided to bat rather than enforce the follow-on. Shubman Gill smashed a terrific knock of 110 runs in 152 balls. He struck 10 fours and 3 sixes.

Bangladeshi bowlers looked a bit off-colour as they allowed the batters to settle. Later in the match, Cheteshwar Pujara struck a ton after 2019 when he scored his fastest century (102 runs) in 130 balls. He struck 13 fours. The peculiarity of his knock was that the batter used his feet and frustrated the bowlers.

Wasim Jaffer was having an interaction with ESPNcricinfo and was asked about Shubman Gill. “Well it’s good that came (on century), he earlier missed out on a couple of opportunities before and I am happy that the monkey is off his back. He is a class player. I will probably say that after Virat Kohli, he is the next big batsman who is going to come out of the Indian circuit. He is a three format player for me and a lot of good things I am hoping to see for him,” said Wasim Jaffer.

Steep Road Ahead for Bangladesh

India would be hoping that Ravichandran Ashwin gets some wickets as the spinner went wicketless in the 1st innings despite getting ample turn from the pitch. India would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take Bangladesh lightly as they have a surprise element present in them.
