Former English captain Michael Vaughan has once again come up with a controversial statement after England’s win over India in the Headingley Test. Notably, the England National Cricket Team won the third Test of the five-match series against India by an innings and 76 runs to level the series 1-1.

The game began on September 25 with Indian skipper Virat Kohli winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, a nightmare followed for the India National Cricket Team as the Indian batting lineup collapsed massively and the entire Indian team was sent back to the pavilion on just 78 runs in the first innings.

Michael Vaughan Targets Team India After Their Headingley Loss

The English batsmen came down fast and hard on the Indian bowling lineup as their openers, Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns, both got to half-centuries. Their opening stand was followed by another batting masterclass from English skipper Joe Root who came up with his 23rd Test century as England cruised to a giant total of 432 runs, taking a 354 runs lead.

Team India kept chasing the English lead ever since they came to bat in the second innings. However, they failed to do so as the entire team was dismissed on just 78 runs as England cruised to a win by an innings and 76 runs.

Team India Will Look To Make Certain Changes And Bounce Back In The Series

With 2 Tests still to go, there can be some changes in the Indian first eleven going into the fourth Test match. At present, both the teams are level at 1-1 in the five-match series and the side that wins the next Test, will go on to take an undeniable lead in the series. Team India have missed the services of Ravichandran Ashwin in the first three Test matches and they will look to get him in the first eleven for the 4th Test.
