In their opening clash against Asia Lions, India Maharajas bagged victory by 6 wickets. Batting first, Asia Lions slammed 175-7 on the scoreboard. Upul Tharanga slammed a marvellous 66-run knock. Later, skipper Misbah-ul-Haq also hit a quickfire 44 off 30.

Later, opener Tillakaratne Dilshan smacked 52 runs off 32 balls for Asia Lions. He was well supported by Upul Tharanga, who hit 63.
