Team India have suffered yet another huge injury blow as their pacer Umesh Yadav had to limp off the field on day three of the ongoing Boxing Day Test against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).

The right-arm pacer started well and was looking in fine rhythm. He also dismissed opener Joe Burns for just four in his second over before suffering the injury and eventually walking off the field in the middle of his fourth over. Umesh Yadav seemed to have hurt his knee as he wobbled after completing the run-up in the 8th over.

Right after delivering the third ball of the over, Umesh Yadav limped over on completing his follow-through and looked to be in a lot of pain. He called for the physio straightaway and after receiving some treatment walked off the field. Mohammed Siraj then completed the remaining over.

India will be hoping that the injury is not serious as they are already without their star pacers Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami. Sharma is sidelined because of the injury he had sustained in IPL while Shami was recently ruled out of the series due to a fractured wrist. Shami had coped a painful blow on his hand while batting in the first Test of the ongoing series.

Meanwhile, India grabbed a 131-run first-innings lead after scoring 326. Starting the day on 277 for 5, India lost their remaining five wickets for just 49 runs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane was the first wicket to fall after he was run-out for 112 following a call from Jadeja for a quick single. Jadeja then went on to score his fifty before departing for 57. The tail-enders could not make much of a difference with the bat as India were all out inside the first session.
