India vs England 2021, 2nd T20I: Match Preview
The hosts India suffered a thrashing defeat in the T20I series opener. While Rohit Sharma-less batting didn’t work, bowlers hadn’t much to do in that small chasing. Now, the home team will try their best to return in this T20I series by winning the second game.
All the three Indian top-order batsmen lost their wickets inside the powerplay as captain Virat Kohli once again scored a duck, which was his second consecutive duck and also third duck in the last five innings. While Rishabh Pant (21) and Hardik Pandya (19) tried really hard, only Shreyas Iyer managed to bat positively in the last game. Though the other home batsmen struggled, Iyer scored 67 off 48 balls (8 fours and only six) before getting out in the final over.
While the England openers provided a strong start in chasing, Yuzvendra Chahal and Washington Sundar dismissed both the openers but they were too late for any stunning comeback in that game.

The visitors England have started this T20I series with a strong victory. But they will now have to be very serious as the hosts like to make a great comeback in most of the series.
England pacers bowled really well in the first T20I. Mark Wood impressed with his fast bowling skills while Jofra Archer enjoyed taking three wickets in that game (4-1-23-3) and ultimately winning the Player of the Match award. Other bowlers also played their roles very positively.
England openers Jason Roy and Jos Buttler put the 72 runs partnership for the first wicket. While Buttler scored 28 runs, Roy just missed his half-century as he scored 49 off 32 balls (4 fours and 3 sixes). Their next two batsmen Dawid Malan (24*) and Jonny Bairstow (26*) comfortably finished that T20I.
