The Women’s Asia Cup final will be played between India and Sri Lanka at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet on October 15. India defeated Thailand while Sri Lanka edged past Pakistan in a thriller to book the final berth.

The Indian bowlers then restricted Thailand to 74/9 in their 20 overs. India had made it to the final of the Women’s Asia Cup six out of eight occasions and have won the title six times. 

The Sri Lanka vs Pakistan second semifinal was a much closer contest. Sri Lanka scored 122/6 in their 20 overs batting first. Pakistan needed 9 to win off the final over and Achini Kulasuriya managed to defend the score giving Sri Lanks a 1-run win. In the process, Sri Lnak managed to enter the Women’s Asia Cup final for the first time in 14 years.
