India had a rather easy win over Thailand. They won the match by 74 runs scoring 148/6 in their 20 overs. The Indian bowlers limited the Thai batters to 74/9 in their 20 overs.

“Lots of confidence (with the win). Wicket was good to bat, felt good. Smriti and Jemi also did well. We need to look at getting partnerships (regularly). Hope the weather stays good (for the final). I’m more confident about my game now, but will keep working. Always happy to contribute to the team” said Shafali Verma who scored 42 with the bat.

A total of seven teams participated in this Asia Cup. The top four teams made the semis. The semifinals took place on October 13 with the final clash scheduled on October 15.
