IPL 2021: Complete Schedule Of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) For The Tournament

IPL 2021 dates have been announced by BCCI and the tournament is set to start on April 9, 2021. All eight teams will play at only six venues during the tournament. These six venues will host all the matches of the tournament. Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who finished on the 7th spot in IPL 2020, will play their first match against Delhi Capitals at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 10, 2021.
Ahead of IPL 2021 auction, Chennai Super Kings released six players out of their squad. . Kedar Jadhav, Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh, Piyush Chawla, Monu Singh, and Shane Watson were the players with whom the franchisee parted ways.
The franchisee also retained 18 players in the squad. There were- MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ambati Rayudu, KM Asif, Deepak Chahar, Dwayne Bravo, Faf du Plessis, Imran Tahir, N Jagadeesan, Karn Sharma, Lungi Ngidi, Mitchell Santner, Ravindra Jadeja, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shardul Thakur, Sam Curran, Josh Hazlewood and R Sai Kishore.
Chennai Super Kings Complete Schedule For IPL 2021
In the IPL 2021 auction, CSK bought three overseas players and three domestic players. Krishnappa Gowtham was the biggest buy of Chennai Super Kings at Rs. 9.25 crore. England all-rounder Moeen Ali was bought for Rs. 7 crores. CSK also went ahead to buy Cheteshwar Pujara at his base price of Rs. 50 lakh. K Bhagath Varma, C Hari Nishaanth, and M. Harisankar Reddy were bought for Rs. 20 lakh each.
With their revised squad, CSK is all set to play in IPL 2021. The team will benefit from the return of Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo to the team in IPL 2021. Suresh Raina did not play in IPL 2021 due to personal reasons while Dwayne Bravo could only play 6 games due to an injury.
