The veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh who bowled only one over in the first match against Sunrisers is very clear about the role he will be having in the KKR squad. He almost got rid of the Sunrisers’ captain David Warner in his very first over but did not bowl after that which got a lot of speculations going on.

Eoin Morgan mentioned that Harbhajan will be used very tactically over the matches which means that he is still part of the plans for the KKR this season. KKR managed to defend their score against the Sunrisers franchise in their first game and Nitish Rana was a star of the show on the day for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

He also told helping the batsmen in the team with their shot selection against the spinners.

“As a bowler, you need just one good ball to dismiss a good batsman. You can’t be thinking that’ll give away one run and attack the other batsman. You have to keep thinking about picking wickets and not think about containing runs. That’s what I talk to the bowlers.

“I talk to batsmen as well. I do talk to them about shot selection against spinners. I just want to be there for the players and give whatever knowledge I have,” he added
