The IPL 2020 runners-up Delhi Capitals (DC) will play their fourth match of the IPL 2021 when they will face the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) at MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk, Chennai).
In this early moment of the IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals have won twice and lost the other once. After starting with a comfortable seven-wicket win against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Delhi Capitals (DC) suffered a close three-wicket defeat against Rajasthan Royals (RR). But in their third game of this season, they claimed another comfortable six-wicket victory as this time they beat Punjab Kings (PBKS).

In his first three games of the IPL 2021, Shikhar Dhawan missed out on two centuries as his scores were 85 and 92 runs apart from scoring 9 runs in his second match. Dhawan is currently in outstanding form which is great news for Delhi Capitals.
Opener Prithvi Shaw started this IPL 2021 with the 72 runs knock off just 38 balls. Later, he scored another crucial 32 runs in their last game after scoring two runs in the previous match. The youngster is currently in dream form and Delhi Capitals are dreaming good starts in many matches of this IPL season.
After missing out on Delhi Capitals’ first two games of this season, Australian cricketer Steven Smith finally made his debut for this team in the last game and scored 9 runs. Though he played a few matches in this calendar year, Smith mostly performed well in those matches.

Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant is currently in very good form as a batsman. In their second match of this IPL 2021, when all other batsmen were struggling, Pant scored crucial 51 runs before getting run-out. He is currently handling the leadership pressure very positively.
Australian cricketer Marcus Stoinis has got very limited responsibilities in Delhi Capitals’ first three matches of the IPL 2021 as he has likely been used for the team as the specialist middle-order batsman because he has got only three overs in this tournament despite some bowlers were expensive. In the last game, Stoinis scored 27 not out off 13 balls to secure his team’s comfortable win.
Lalit Yadav appeared during the last two matches for Delhi Capitals. During Delhi Capitals’ second match of this season, when Capitals were struggling on 37/4, he put the 51 runs partnership with skipper Rishabh Pant for the fifth wicket and scored 20 runs. In their next game, Lalit scored 12 not out to help his team to win that match by successfully chasing.
While spinners have not a very good experience at Mumbai in this early IPL 2021, the off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has picked up only one wicket in three games. But while Delhi Capitals will now play in Chennai, Ashwin can play an important role for his team.
England cricketer Chris Woakes has picked five wickets in three matches of this IPL 2021. Though he was expensive in the last game, Woakes bowled really well in their first two games of this IPL season.
The leg-spinner Amit Mishra can return to the Delhi Capitals playing XI as Chennai pitch is also supporting the slow blowers, which hasn’t work at Mumbai. While Mishra played in their season opener against CSK, he had bowling figures of 3-0-27-0. But not to forget about his huge experiences while Mishra is also the second most wicket-taker in the IPL history.
South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who won the IPL 2020 Purple Cap, played the last two games after completing the quarantine period and he has got 3 wickets in this IPL 2021. The Chennai pitch is also suitable for the fast bowlers so he can open himself more strongly in the upcoming match.
Delhi Capitals pacer Avesh Khan has impressed with his quality bowling performances in all the three games in the IPL 2021 as he is currently their most wicket-taker in this early moment of the IPL season with 6 wickets. Surely, he is growing up as a strong asset for Delhi Capitals.
