In all those four matches of this season at this venue, we have experienced that batsmen have struggled, especially in the death overs. The last two games at this venue were low-scoring affairs in T20 cricket, where the chasings of almost 150 runs were really difficult.

While Chennai also hosted the opening match of this season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) successfully chased the 160 runs target against Mumbai Indians after losing eight wickets but in the very final ball of that game. Later, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) successfully defended the 187 runs target after winning against SRH by 10 runs.

Later, Mumbai Indians beat KKR by 10 runs as they defended their first innings total of 152 runs. RCB beat SRH by 6 runs in the recent game at this venue as RCB successfully defended their first batting total of 149 runs.

Only the set batsmen are enjoying this venue while the spinners are playing major roles at this venue. Now the captains may consider to chose bat first at this venue in the next games.
